Different Types of Jockey Boxes

DECIDE IN 3 EASY STEPS

If it seems overwhelming, we assure you that our buying process is actually quite simple. Regardless of cooler type, all of our jockey boxes are built with the same high-quality materials and components.

The three decisions you need to make are:

  1. Do I want a stainless steel cooler or plastic cooler?
  2. Do I want 1, 2, or 4 taps?
  3. Do I want the inputs on the front side (same as the faucets) or the back side (opposite of the faucets)?
  4. (Optional) Do I want to upgrade to custom, vinyl or magnet wrapping?

COOLERS | STAINLESS VS MARINE GRADE

STAINLESS STEEL

COLDBREAK® stainless steel-belted 54-quart coolers feature a stainless steel lid latch with reinforced stainless steel hinges, an upgraded stainless drain plug, comfort grip handles, and 90º stainless steel tailpieces so your beverage lines are angled straight down and out of the way.

COLDBREAK® stainless steel jockey boxes are available with 2 or 4 taps.

MARINE GRADE

Light and extremely durable, these heavy-duty, knock-around boxes are meant to withstand harsh, wet environments and the rigors of festival season. Popular for demanding outdoor events, these boxes feature UV inhibitors, extended-life hinges, large, rubber handles, and stain and odor-resistant material.

COLDBREAK® marine grade jockey boxes are available with 1, 2, or 4 taps.

INPUTS | FRONT VS REAR

FRONT INPUTS | AKA “BARTENDER” EDITION

Our most popular jockey box was designed for bartender convenience at festivals and events with a clean aesthetic for guests.

The liquid inputs are located on the same side as the faucets (the bartender’s side), which allows kegs to be conveniently positioned and changed within quick reach of the bartender.

This also creates an attractive experience for patrons who deserve and want to drink your product without getting tangled in draft lines as they approach.

Available in 2 or 4 taps.

REAR INPUTS | AKA “PASS-THROUGH” EDITION

Nearly identical to our Bartender edition, our Pass-Through edition features the liquid inputs shanks on the back side of the jockey box—opposite of the faucets on the front.

This traditional approach allows for a clean look on the pouring side—perfect for environments where guests are self-pouring (e.g., homebrew clubs, backyard parties, man caves, social gatherings, alcohol-free offerings, etc.) or multiple kegs need to be stored inconspicuously.

Available in 1, 2, and 4 taps.
