Oetiker StepLess® Ear Clamps are engineered for permanent, tamper-evident hose and pipe connections in automotive, industrial, and fluid-handling applications. The patented StepLess® design eliminates steps or overlaps on the inner circumference, delivering uniform surface pressure around the entire connection for a reliable, leak-free seal.

These clamps use a narrow-band profile to concentrate clamping force where it matters most, while the formed clamp ear automatically compensates for component tolerances and material relaxation. An integrated dimple increases clamping force and provides a spring effect to maintain consistent pressure through temperature changes and vibration.

Available in galvanized or zinc-plated steel (PG 117) and stainless steel (PG 167), Oetiker StepLess® Ear Clamps offer excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. Size and Fit Guidance

To select the correct clamp size, install the hose onto the fitting and measure the outside diameter of the hose. Choose a clamp where the measured diameter falls slightly above the midpoint of the clamp’s size range. Proper installation requires the clamp ear width to be reduced by at least 40% using the correct closing force.

Block closure should be avoided when consistent sealing force is required, as additional force after block closure is not transferred to the clamped components.

• Single-stroke closure only; do not apply secondary crimping force
• Do not alter ear height during installation

This is our stepless Oetiker clamp. Size 12.3 SKU number OET123. So stepless odoker clamps work really well because they put an even pressure all the way around whatever you're trying to clamp. They work really well on tubing. And so the size that you buy will is dictated by the OD, the outer diameter of the tubing that you're using.
And so when you put it on, there's a little ear at the top. And the idea is to crush that ear. And when you crush that ear, it pulls the clamp all the way around the tubing and creates a nice tight seal. Now, there's a couple different ways that you can do that. One is by uh just some manual pliers or they make these specific ratcheting style pliers that will pinch that ear really well in a nice even way.
Um the good thing about Oetiker clamps is they're they work really well for tubing. The downside is they're kind of semi-permanmanent. And so the only way to get them off is to use your pliers to either cut through the ear or there's another way that there's a tab all the way around the clamp here. And what you got to do is get a piece of metal, whether it's like your your pliers or a screwdriver or something underneath that tab.
And basically, you're just going to peel back that tab and the the the clamp will come off. So they're not permanent, but they they do a they take some effort to to take off. Um, if you're looking for something that has a bunch of different sizes, that way you're not trying to figure out like which size goes with what tubing, we do have field kits available that have got pliers and they've got different size um, some of the most common size Oetiker clamps that are used in the beverage industry.
