Start Your Own Jockey Box Rental Business

Looking for a simple way to generate extra income? Already serving customers in the event or hospitality space? Start renting jockey boxes.

Whether you’re a caterer, mobile bar operator, liquor store, or just someone who knows a lot of people who throw great parties, a jockey box rental program is a low-cost, high-demand opportunity. And the best part—you only need one premium jockey box to get started.

Who It's Perfect For

Why Customers Rent (Not Buy)

Most people hosting backyard parties, weddings, tailgates, or corporate events only need a jockey box for one day. They don’t want to buy one, store it, or clean it.

They just want cold, fresh beer that pours like it came from a taproom.

That’s where you come in.

How It Works

1. Buy Your Jockey Box
Start with one of our Coldbreak® jockey boxes. Built to withstand catering environments, our boxes are designed for frequent use—and easy, repeatable setup.

2. Build Your Rental Package
Add a COâ‚‚ tank, keg coupler, and gas/beer lines. (We can help you select the right setup based on the customers you plan to serve.)

3. List Your Rental
Promote the service on your website, social pages, or simply by word of mouth. Most rental customers book 2-3 weeks in advance.

4. Pickup or Delivery
Offer simple pickup at your location or charge a delivery/setup fee. (Many of our retailers make more on delivery and setup than the base rental.)

5. Clean & Repeat
After the event, clean and dry the jockey box so it’s ready for your next rental. It takes about 10 minutes—and your customer pays you for the time the box was out.

One of the best parts of starting a jockey box rental business is the high return per event. Most local rentals range from $125 to $200 for a 1–2 day rental. You can also add on services like CO₂ refills ($20–$40) and delivery/setup ($50–$100) for extra revenue. Many of our certified retailers easily clear $200–$300 per rental, especially when delivery and cleaning services are included. With just a few weekend rentals per month, your jockey box pays for itself—and continues generating income every time it goes out.
